Online Morning YOGA & PILATES for Mountain Bikers - 6 week course
Service Description
THURSDAYS 7am UK time starting 10th September (6 week course) COST - 5e or 5 pounds per class or 25e or 25 pounds if you pay in advance NOTE - AQR Coaching clients can attend for free Join me for 1 hour of yoga and pilates inspired exercises which I call Core Connection to help mountain bikers feel good during every ride. This class will focus on exercises that suit both static positions and dynamic movements associated with mountain biking. Each class will help you release unnecessary tightness and find greater all round body strength to help you work towards a feeling of lightness and fluidity on the bike. The exercises will help you to lengthen and strengthen those muscle groups specifically involved in riding a mountain bike, whilst encouraging you to train your core muscles to help prevent pain and tension induced injury and muscle imbalances. Yoga and Pilates were always my go to exercises to help me when I was a professional mountain bike racer. My body learnt how to increase power and speed by using my stabilizing muscles effectively. I learnt how to become more fuel efficient by improving my breathing and to relax my mindset whilst under tension. These off the bike exercises inspired from yoga and pilates also helped me to develop my technical climbing and descending skills too, giving me more confidence on the the bike. My Core Connection Classes will also teach you how to recover effectively and quickly, so that you can get back on your bike sooner with more energy to enjoy your next mountain bike ride. Every class will be different, informative and most importantly fun! If you would like to take part in these classes they will be starting Thursday 10 September.
